Klaus Steinmetz Arte Contemporaneo

Klaus Steinmetz Contemporary Art has spent 25 years promoting, disseminating and representing contemporary art in Costa Rica and Latin America. Founded by art historian and curator Klaus Steinmetz, the gallery has become a regional benchmark, known for its critical approach, international dialogue and commitment to the professionalisation of the Central American art market.

Locally, it has organised more than 200 events that have included, in addition to the visual arts, architecture and design. KSAC has taken part in art fairs on multiple occasions, notably Art Basel Miami, ARCO Madrid, ArtBo and SP-Arte. At these fairs it has received several awards, including Best Gallery at Art Monaco, the EFG Bank Prize in Lima and Bogotá, the EFG ArtNexus Prize at Pinta Miami, the Pisco 4Gallos Prize and the First Purchase Award at Art Lima.
